POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS:

Concept Art for Entertainment: a rigorous program of study, the 12-month graduate certificate in Concept Art for Entertainment at George Brown College in Toronto will expand artists’ techniques and creativity, to transform written ideas into visual experiences.

 

Design Management: a program that prepares you for a career managing design strategically and builds the skills needed to lead a multidisciplinary design team to develop products and services based on strategic business objectives.

 

Digital Design – Game Design: a one-year graduate certificate is a rigorous program of study that focuses on the principles and techniques of video game design and production required to break into the industry.

 

Interactive Media Management: a program responding to a growing need within the design industry for a new skill set – one that crosses the traditional disciplinary boundaries of advertising, industrial, graphic and new media design.

 

Interdisciplinary Design Strategy: a program at Brookfield Sustainability Institute is a global solutions studio focused on identifying, understanding, and developing smart sustainable solutions to help fight climate change.

 

Web Development: Front-End Design:  this program will prepare you with skills in both application and interface development to deliver solutions that meet industry-standards for effective code engineering and responsible design, going beyond traditional websites.

Requirements

CONCEPT ART FOR ENTERTAINMENT / DESIGN MANAGEMENT / DIGITAL DESIGN – GAME DESIGN / INTERACTIVE MEDIA MANAGEMENT / INTERDISCIPLINARY DESIGN STRATEGY


~ Bachelor of Fine Arts; or diploma/advanced diploma in game, graphics or arts field

WEB DEVELOPMENT - FRONT-END DESIGN 
Ontario College Diploma, advanced diploma, degree or equivalent in computer science/studies, web programming, interaction design or related, or demonstrated work experience in design or computer development.*


ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
Applicants with international transcripts who do not provide English proficiency test results must test at the college level in the George Brown College English assessment to be considered for admission.


*Qualified applicants will be invited to complete the application questionnaire and submit a portfolio and resumé electronically. Details on these supplementary requirements will be communicated at a later date to qualified applicants, as part of the review process. Qualified applicants may also be invited for an interview.
